Intro - Infectious disease

Helminthiasis (plural helminthiasis) also known as - Worm infection.

Definition-

It is any macroparasitic disease of humans and other animals in which a part of the body  is infected with parasitic worms, known as Helminths.

Etiology-

• Poor birth outcome 
• poor cognitive development
• poor school and work performance
• socioeconamic development and poverty.

Type-

1. Round worm
2. Tape worm
3. Whip worm
4. Thread worm
5. Hook worm

Clinical feature-

When superficially placed, cysts can be palpated under the skin or mucosa as pea like avoid bodies

Encephalitis (because of heavy brain infection)

Epilepsy.

भेद -

1. बाह्य 
2. अभ्यंतर 

निरुक्ति -

जो मांस के प्रति स्नेह रखता हो उसे कृमि कहते है। 

निदान -

• अजीर्ण में भोजन 
• मधुर व अम्ल का नित्य सेवन 
• द्रव को प्रिय 
• पिष्टी व गुड़ पदार्थो का अत्यधिक सेवन व्यायाम न करने वाला 
• दिन में शयन 
• विरुद्ध भोजन 
• सुध न रहने वाला 

सम्प्राप्ति -

निदान सेवन -- कृमियों  की उत्पति -- सर्वशरीर में परिभ्र्रमण -- भिन्न - भिन्न लक्षणों की उत्पति -- कृमिरोग 

सामान्य लक्षण -

• शूल 
• अतिसार 
• भोजन में अरुचि 
• शरीर वैवर्ण्य 
• ज्वर
